description

Mechatronics is centred on mechanics, electronics, control engineering, computing, molecular engineering (from nanochemistry and biology) which, combined, make possible the generation of simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. The portmanteau "Mechatronics" was first coined by Mr. Tetsuro Mori, a senior engineer of the Japanese company Yaskawa, in 1969. Mechatronics may alternatively be referred to as "electromechanical systems" or less often as "control and automation engineering".

Engineering cybernetics deals with the question of control engineering of mechatronic systems. It is used to control or regulate such a system (see control theory). Through collaboration the mechatronic modules perform the production goals and inherit flexible and agile manufacturing properties in the production scheme. Modern production equipment consists of mechatronic modules that are integrated according to a control architecture. The most known architectures involve hierarchy, polyarchy, hetaerachy (often mispelled as heterarchy) and hybrid. The methods for achieving a technical effect are described by control algorithms, which may or may not utilize formal methods in their design. Hybrid-systems important to Mechatronics include production systems, synergy drives, planetary exploration rovers, automotive subsystems such as anti-lock braking systems, spin-assist and every day equipment such as autofocus cameras, video, hard disks, CD-players, washing machines.

A typical mechatronic engineering degree would involve classes in engineering mathematics, mechanics, machine component design, mechanical design, thermodynamics, circuits and systems, electronics and communications, control theory, programming, digital signal processing, power engineering, robotics and usually a fin

DIVISION

A - Combat Aircraft Division
Combat Aircraft Division (CAD) was established to provide support for MiG 29 aircraft in its totality from maintenance, repair and overhaul, technical services, supply and materials, to upgrading and modernization covering the airframe, engines and avionics.

The division is located at ATSC's Aircraft Maintenance Complex at Kuantan on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It currently performs the intermediate level maintenance repair of RMAF MiG 29 aircraft and is equipped to undertake major modification works.

AVIATION SUPPORT DIVISION

Aviation Support Division (ASD) is located in the vicinity of Subang International Airport, next to Terminal 3. It was formed to provide the second and third line maintenance and to repair and overhaul airfield specialist vehicles and aerospace support equipment.

The division is currently actively engaged in the third line maintenance of RMAF vehicles and equipment and is expanding its infrastructure network to provide on location supports at various parts of the country.

MATERIAL AND PRODUCT SUPPORT DIVISION

C - Materials and Product Support Division
Our objective is to have the capability to provide the full spares and equipment support for the MiG-29 fleet by providing a one-stop-center in the supply and maintenance of spare parts and equipment for the aircraft. Our warehousing facility maintains ready stocks of high consumption rate consumable spares, and our Component Repair Center provides for the second line and third line maintenance on the components.

Our main lines of support in the supply of the spare parts are from Rosoberonexport and RAC "MIG", who are our partners and co-owners of the Company. At same time, we are also in collaboration with other reputable national and international organisations to establish mutual supports, particularly from Germany and India who have vast experiences in the operation and maintenance of the MiG-29 aircraft.

We strive to ensure that the products are genuine and of high quality for use on aircraft with the vigilant scrutiny of our Company’s Quality System which is certified to ISO 9002 Ver.1994.

Our services in the Product Support offer the greatest advantage of prompt delivery without much beauraucratic obstacles.

ejection seat

ejection seat
In (mostly military) aircraft, the ejection seat is a system designed to rescue the pilot or other crew in an emergency. In most designs, the seat is propelled out of the aircraft by an explosive charge or rocket motor, carrying the pilot with it. The concept of an ejectable escape capsule has also been tried. Once clear of the aircraft, the ejection seat deploys a parachute, and descends safely to earth.
